Brain Awareness Week event 1 week away!

Only a week to go until Brain Awareness Week kicks off! Make sure you get involved! Our event is Tuesday, March 12 from 4-7pm.
And come and support SNOP by buying something at our second BRAINY BAKE SALE to raise funds for the event! Wednesday, March 6, 10:30am-3pm just outside Mount Sinai’s cafeteria.

Our bake sale to raise funds for Brain Awareness Week was a big success!

The Sinai Neuorscience Outreach Program (SNOP) will be hosting a Brain Awareness Fair (as a part of Brain Awareness Week) on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 (Annenberg West Lobby) from 4:00-7:00 PM. The event will be an educational, interactive activities fair for elementary, middle, and high school students and their parents. Learn about the taste/smell connection, hold a real brain from a whale in your hands, meet our neuroscientist “myth busters,” build a neuron model, and more. Day With a Scientist (Brain Edition)

In November and December, 2012, SNOP joined the Center for Excellence in Youth Outreach at Mount Sinai School of Medicine to show junior high students the physiology and anatmoy of the brain. Check out the photos here and watch this space for our future events!

Brain Awareness Fair volunteers needed!

BAWDO YOU LOVE BRAINS??!!????
If you answered YES (which you should), then it is your lucky day!!!!!!!!

The Sinai Neuorscience Outreach Program (SNOP) is looking for volunteers for the Brain Awareness Fair (as a part of Brain Awareness Week) on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 (Annenberg West Lobby) from 4:00-7:00 PM.
-SNOP will be hosting an educational, interactive activities fair for elementary, middle, and high school students of the local NYC area.

There will be a short informational meeting for interested volunteers on Monday, January 28, at 5:15 PM in Icahn 11-84.
-During this meeting you will meet our executive board, and we will discuss the expectations/requirements of our volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you at our meeting!
This will be a great opportunity to get involved with your fellow Sinai peers, and will also be a GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR RESUME!

We will also feed you candy and pizza at the fair :]
